You keep your login

Your account is not deleted and your sign-in still works. A retired membership is a change of status, not a closed account — you sign in exactly as before, with the same credentials. See Logging in. What changes is what you can reach.

What you can and cannot do

Administrator roles stop working too. If you helped run the club, those roles are still recorded against your name, but nothing unlocks while your membership is inactive. They come back if you rejoin. See Roles and access.

The page you land on

Open a member tool as a retired member and you do not get a blank refusal or an error. You get a page that:

• greets you by name,
• says your membership is currently listed as retired,
• explains that member tools need an active membership, and
• offers Re-Apply for Membership.

This is the expected result, not a fault. If you have reached that page and believe your membership should be active, the most useful first step is to sign out and sign back in — your status is read at sign-in, so a recent change may not have reached your session yet. If it persists, contact the club.

Rejoining

Use the Apply item in the site menu to open the membership application: www.pcflyers.org/apply/membership-application. Sign in first if you can. The application recognises a signed-in retired member and:

• skips the “have you been a member before?” step,
• fills in your details from what the club already holds, shown read-only so nothing drifts out of step with your old record, and
• still asks you to complete the disclosures, the agreement and the payment.

The club reconnects you to your existing account rather than creating a second one, which is why signing in first is worth the effort. If you cannot sign in, apply anyway and answer Yes when asked whether you have been a member before. Full detail: Applying for membership.

Loose ends worth closing

• Your airport badge. If the club issued you a KCRQ badge, return it. The club notifies the county separately, but the physical badge is yours to hand back.
• Keys. These can be left at Western Flight at Palomar Airport, marked for Pacific Coast Flyers.
• Any credit on your account. Speak to the club if a balance was left over.
• Your documents. The club keeps its records according to its retention policy. You do not need to do anything.

Troubleshooting

You cannot sign in at all. That is a password problem rather than a membership one — retired members keep their login. Reset it from the link on the login page. See Logging in. Your membership ended and you do not know why. Memberships end for several reasons, including non-payment and requests made outside the website. Contact the club and an administrator can tell you which applied. You rejoined but still see the retired landing page. Sign out and sign back in. Your status is read at sign-in. You want your data removed. Contact the club — that is a conversation with club management, not something handled on the website.
