# Getting help

> Who to contact for what — and what to include so it gets sorted on the first reply.

  **Who this is for:** Everyone.

## Start by working out which system has the problem

The club runs on two systems, and sending a question to the wrong one is the most common reason an
answer takes a week instead of a day. [How it works](/start/how-it-works) explains the split; the
short version is below.

| If the problem is… | It belongs to… |
| ------------------------------------------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Your password, or signing in anywhere | Schedulemaster |
| Your address, phone, or email being wrong | Schedulemaster |
| A booking, a flight record, or your balance | Schedulemaster |
| Uploading or emailing documents to the club | The website |
| A gift certificate | The website |
| The photo contest | The website |
| A menu item you expect but cannot see | The website |
| Applying, re-applying, or retiring | The website — and the membership team |

## Who to contact

### For anything about your membership

**[membership@pcflyers.org](mailto:membership@pcflyers.org)**

Applications, re-joining after a break, retiring, questions about your status, and anything where
you are not sure who else to ask. This is the club's general management address and the safest
default.

### For general questions and anything about the website

**The Contact Us section on the [club home page](https://www.pcflyers.org).**

Scroll down the home page to **Contact Us**, or use the **Contact** link in the site menu, which
takes you to the same place. There is no separate contact page — if you go looking for one you
will not find it.

Fill in your name, email, and message, then click **Send Message**. Your message goes to the club
and someone replies to the address you gave.

### For sending documents to the club

**[docs@pcflyers.org](mailto:docs@pcflyers.org)**

Email documents here as attachments and they are matched to your membership automatically and
added to your file. **Send from the email address the club has on file for you** — a message from
any other address cannot be matched to you and will be sent back.

You can also upload documents directly on the website, which is more reliable if you are not sure
which address the club has.

### For flight training

**Contact your instructor directly.** The club's instructor listing on the website shows each
instructor and how to reach them.

## Before you write, save yourself a round trip

Three checks settle a surprising share of questions on their own.

1. **Sign out and sign back in.** The website reads your details from Schedulemaster when you sign
in, so anything that changed since your last sign-in will not show until you do. This is the fix
for most "the website has the wrong…" and "I cannot see…" problems.
2. **Try signing in at [my.schedulemaster.com](https://my.schedulemaster.com).** If that fails too,
it is a Schedulemaster password problem, and the reset link on the club login page will sort it
   faster than an email will.
3. **Check [Roles and access](/start/roles-and-access)** if a menu item is missing. There is a
short list of reasons, and it is usually one of the first two.

## What to include when you do write

The more of this you include, the more likely the first reply is the last one.

* **Your name as the club knows it**, and your Schedulemaster username if you know it.
* **What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.** "I clicked Upload and got a red
error" beats "the upload is broken".
* **The exact wording of any error message**, or a screenshot of it.
* **When you last signed in**, if the problem is something missing or out of date.
* **Which browser and device** — a laptop and a phone genuinely do behave differently, and a few
things are remembered per browser rather than per account.

<Note>
**Never email your password to anyone**, and nobody from the club will ever ask you for it. If
you cannot sign in, reset it yourself from the link on the login page.
