# Contacting the club

> The Contact Us form on the club home page — where to find it, what it asks for, and what happens to your message.

<Info>
  **Where to find it:** the **Contact Us** section on the [club home page](https://www.pcflyers.org)
  · the **Contact** link in the site menu takes you to the same place

  **Who can use it:** Anyone. No login required.
</Info>

## There is no separate contact page

**Contact Us is a section of the home page, not a page of its own.** Scroll down the home page and
you will reach it; the **Contact** link in the menu jumps you straight there.

This catches people out, so it is worth saying plainly: if you go hunting for a contact page in the
menu and cannot find one, you have not missed it. It is on the home page.

## What this form is for

General enquiries — questions about joining, about the club, or anything you are not sure who to
send to. It reaches the club, and somebody replies to the email address you give.

**For some things there is a faster route.** See [Getting help](/start/getting-help) for the full
list; the short version:

| If it is about…                        | Use…                                                             |
| -------------------------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Your membership, applying, or retiring | `membership@pcflyers.org`                                        |
| Sending documents to the club          | `docs@pcflyers.org`                                              |
| Flight training                        | The instructor directly — see [Instructors](/public/instructors) |
| Your password or a booking | The club's operations system, not this form |

## What you fill in

Three fields, all required.

| Field          | Notes                                                  |
| -------------- | ------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Your Name**  | Up to 100 characters                                   |
| **Your Email** | Up to 255 characters. The reply goes here, so check it |
| **Message**    | Up to 3,000 characters                                 |

Then click **Send Message**.

<Note>
  **Put enough in the message to get a useful reply.** "The website will not let me in" gets a
  request for more detail; "I am Pat Alvarez, I cannot sign in, and the page says my username and
  password do not match" gets an answer. If it is about something on the website, say which page.
</Note>

## What happens next

The form is replaced by a **Message Sent** confirmation, and your message is emailed to the club. A
person reads it and replies to the address you gave.

**There is no tracking number and no online record of your message** — the reply arrives by email,
so make sure the address is right before you send.

The form carries spam protection. It runs by itself and you will not normally notice it.

## Troubleshooting

**You did not get a reply.**
Check spam first. The club is run by volunteers, so allow a few days before chasing. If it is
urgent or about your membership, email `membership@pcflyers.org` directly.

**You mistyped your email address.**
Send the message again with the right address. There is no way to correct the first one.

**The form will not submit.**
All three fields are required, and the message has a 3,000-character limit — a very long message is
the usual cause. Shorten it, or email the club directly.

**You want to attach a file.**
This form does not take attachments. Send documents to `docs@pcflyers.org` from the address the
club has on file for you, or upload them on the website if you are a member.
